Tejaswi Madivada is an Indian actress and model primarily active in the Telugu film industry. Originally a dance instructor, she transitioned to acting with her debut in the 2013 film Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Her role in Ice Cream brought her into the spotlight, establishing her presence in the industry. In 2018, she further expanded her fame by competing in the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu 2.

Early life and education

Tejaswi Madivada completed her schooling at Air Force School Begumpet and pursued a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from St. Francis College for Women in Hyderabad. She began her career as a part-time freelance dance instructor, working with organizations like Twist n Turns and conducting classes for major MNCs such as HSBC, Wipro, and Franklin Templeton, as well as schools like Nasr School for Girls. Her work in various short films, particularly Dhanam Mulam Idham Jagath, gained attention for her portrayal of negative characters. In 2011, she participated in the Miss Dabur Gulabari beauty pageant, where she secured the second runner-up position, which reportedly led to her first film offer.

Career

Tejaswi Madivada made her acting debut in 2013 with a supporting role in the Telugu family drama film Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The following year, she appeared in supporting roles in Manam and Heart Attack starring Nithin, before securing her first lead role in Ram Gopal Varma's horror film *Ice Cream*. The film gained attention due to reports of her appearing nude in one scene. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Ice Cream turned out to be a commercial success.

In her subsequent releases, including *Lovers*, *Anukshanam* (another Ram Gopal Varma directorial), and Kranthi Madhav's *Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju*—where she played Nithya Menen's daughter—Tejaswi continued to take on secondary roles in films like *Srimanthudu* and *Pandaga Chesko*. She also starred in projects such as Omkar's *Raju Gari Gadi*, *Oorvasi Vo Rakshasi Vo*, *Subramaniam For Sale*, and her first Tamil film, *Natpathigaram 79*.

After her participation in *Bigg Boss* in 2018, Tejaswi decided to settle down and get married. However, after some time, she realized that she was losing her identity and ultimately called off the wedding when asked to make changes to her lifestyle and consider her partner's family expectations.

In 2022, she participated in a television dance series, *BB Jodi*, aired on Star Maa.
